Abstract
We report a patient with Gowers' local panatrophy, who developed skin atrophy on the left upper arm, right lower leg and facial hemiatrophy without a thickening or a sclerosing process. Histological examination revealed loss of thickness of the dermis and subcutaneous tissue. It is suggested that skin atrophy was induced by a nonsclerosing process, different from the inflammation and fibrosis observed in scleroderma.Entities:
