Abstract
This article reviews mechanisms of chemical carcinogenesis, from metabolic activation and generation of reactive oxygen species by cytochromes P4511 and P4502E to DNA damage, activation of protein kinase C and ocogenes, hyperplasia, and proteoglycan changes in the cell glycocalyx and lysosomal enzymes which mediate invasion and metastasis.Entities:
