Angular dependence of resistance in non-invasive electrical measurements of human muscle: the tensor model.

Abstract

Previous calculations of the angular dependence of the resistance of muscle, based on tensorial anisotropy, are in contradiction with recent measurements on the intact human thigh. We show that careful treatment of lateral boundaries and electrode sizes leads to a reconciliation of the tensor model and the experimental observations.
