Abstract
Plasma atrial natriuretic peptide and endothelin are further elevated in patients with congestive heart failure and atrial fibrillation, compared to those with sinus rhythm. The higher plasma endothelin suggests that vasoconstriction is an important mechanism for hemodynamic compensation in these patients.Entities:
