Adenocarcinoma of the urachus: radical or conservative surgery? A report of a case and a review of the literature.

Abstract

AIMS: To identify the most appropriate surgical strategy for carcinoma of the urachus.
METHODS: Analysis of a case of adenocarcinoma of the urachus and an examination of the current literature were carried out.
CONCLUSIONS: Partial cystectomy is considered the most appropriate surgical strategy but the need for close follow-up is underlined.
