Abstract
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is the most common cause of esophageal strictures, accounting for approximately 70% of all cases. Reflux strictures of the esophagus are serious complications of GERD and are associated with a high relapse rate. Goals of long-term management include the relief of dysphagia, prevention of stricture recurrence, and avoidance of complications with safe, cost-effective therapy. Despite recent advances in knowledge about GERD, reflux stricture still remains a relatively common and challenging clinical problem.Entities:
