Abstract
Esophagitis dissecans superficialis is a rare and benign condition that involves the formation of an esophageal cast. This disorder has been described in association with a variety of etiologic factors. We report a case of an esophageal cast in a patient included in a program of sclerotherapy of varices. We discuss the possible relationship existing between sclerotherapy and the development of esophagitis dissecans superficialis.Entities:
