Abstract
Two models of diagnostic clinical behaviour are studied: the conventional in which data gathering precedes interpretation, and the sequential in which each item is evaluated as it is acquired and incorporated into decision making, usually of binary type. The second model is proposed as that more closely related to the reality of clinical practice and also as potentially more capable of exploiting intellectual resources and creating logistic economies.Mesh:
