Abstract
Schwannomas are solitary neurogenic tumors that arise from cells of the neural sheat. They grow slowly and represent a proliferation of Schwann cells. Extracranial neurogenic tumors of the head and neck are uncommon. We describe a case of solitary cervical schwannoma placed in the thyroid area. And recall the histology, the nerves more frequently involved, diagnostic tests and the treatment of these nervous tumors.Entities:
