Abstract
The roentgen features of rheumatoid involvement of the mid- and hindfoot are analyzed utilizing anatomic and pathologic material from "control" and rheumatoid cadavers and a detailed radiographic study of a rheumatoid population. Characteristic findings include diffuse abnormalities predilecting the calcaneus, talocalcaneonavicular and tarsometatarsal joints with joint space narrowing, bony fusion and reactive sclerosis. Rheumatoid localization in the mid- and hindfoot is not unusual, particularly in long-standing disease, and is almost universally associated with metatarsophalangeal alterations.Entities:
