Abstract
Laparoscopic antireflux surgery is rapidly replacing traditional operations for the treatment of medically refractory gastroesophageal reflux disease. These procedures are technically demanding. Troublesome side effects can be minimized by carefully selecting patients and using a meticulous and appropriate technique. Extensive follow-up data are now emerging and indicate that these procedures can offer long-term control of symptoms with few permanent side effects.Entities:
