Abstract
We present four patients with intramural hematomas in the ascending aorta. Diagnostic suspicion was aortic dissection in two of them. Prompt surgical procedures were performed in all of them. After reviewing other series, we conclude that ascending aorta hematomas should be treated as true aortic dissections.Entities:
