Surgical reconstruction of a stress fracture of the acromion after arthroscopic subacromial decompression in an elite tennis player.

Abstract

We report the case of a stress fracture of the acromion after arthroscopic subacromial decompression in a 31-year-old female elite tennis player. The fracture was treated successfully by surgical reconstruction using two parallel Kirschner wires and a tension band.
