A four-year study examining the results of indirect sinus augmentation procedures.

G W Coatoam1, J T Krieger.

Abstract

Pneumatization of the maxillary sinus compromises available bone for maxillary posterior implant placement. Subantral augmentation, using indirect sinus lift procedures, can successfully increase the available bone for implant placement. These procedures are safe and predictable. New implant designs are now making it easier to do indirect sinus augmentations as immediate implant cases. This study examines the results of indirect sinus augmentation procedures.
