Abstract
Human skin can be colonized by different yeasts that may have an impact on skin pigmentation. In order to study this effect normal human melanocytes were cultured with different yeasts. Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) analysis gives evidence that Candida albicans suppresses the transcription of melanogenesis enzymes.Entities:
