Abstract
Initial isolation from the foot of a highly malignant primary bronchogenic carcinoma, small cell carcinoma (oat cell carcinoma), was identified via excisional biopsy from the right foot of a 42-year old nonsmoking Caucasian female. This patient denied any pertinent prior medical history, other than persistent pain in her right foot for approximately 1 year before seeking care. Incidental trauma prompted her to seek care, which consisted of immobilization via a wooden shoe. When symptoms persisted, her primary care physician referred her to my office for further evaluation.Entities:
