Abstract
Two patients with porphyria cutanea tarda were treated with p-amino-benzoic acid (Potaba) (3x4g/day). Normalization of porphyrin-excretion was observed after three respectively 45 days of treatment. Furthermore no influence of the excretion of porphyrin precursors (porphobilinogen or delta-amino-levulinic acid) were noticed. Also, no side effects of this treatment were found.Entities:
