Abstract
An 18-month-old girl with a distal tibiofibular diastasis secondary to an osteochondroma was seen with a valgus deformity of the ankle. The patient underwent operative excision of the osteochondroma at the age of 2 years. At 13-year followup there was resolution of the diastasis, and the patient was free of symptoms. Early excision obviates the need for complex reconstructive surgery to correct ankle deformity later.Entities:
