Abstract
The serology, epidemiologic features and clinical presentation of 39 patients suffering from Brucellosis in Kenya are described. The prevalent species was Brucella melitensis. There was a striking preference in the localisation of the infection for the spine and the hip joint. The disease runs a protracted course. Phenomena due to hypersensitivity and neuropsychiatric disorders are discussed. Advice regarding specific treatment is given.Entities:
