Abstract
Sclerotherapy for hydroceles was performed in 18 patients. Cutaneous anaesthesia was induced with an anaesthetic cream (lidocaine and prilocaine, EMLA cream) and a fibrin sealant (Tissucol) was injected into the sac after fluid aspiration. Patients experienced no pain during needle insertion and sclerosant procedure; 2 recurrences were observed during follow-up. EMLA cream anaesthesia and fibrin adhesive sclerotherapy represent a useful alternative to surgical treatment of hydroceles.Entities:
