Abstract
The continuum description of the equilibrium of small liquid drops located on a sloping plane is still discussed. The effect of drop holdup on the contact surface is modeled by describing the counteraction of a possible rolling liquid flow. This paper studies numerically the effect of the contact angle hysteresis, the critical slope angle at which the drop flows out. Copyright 1997 Academic Press.
