Polyradiculitis (Landry-Guillain-Barré syndrome) with total external ophthalmoplegia: encephalo-myelo-radiculo-neuropathy.

S H Green.

Abstract

Total ophthalmoplegia is described in an eight-year-old boy with polyradiculitis. The findings suggest central nervous system involvement. It is postulated that this case represents an entity intermediate between the Miller-Fisher and the Landry-Guillain-Barré syndromes, with features of brain-stem encephalitis.
