[Stress-response in insects: mechanism, genetic control, and role in adaptation].

I Iu Raushenbakh.

Abstract

Results of long-term studies on stress in insects are reviewed. The mechanism of stress response in larvae and adult insects in considered. Data on the genetic control of different steps of stress response are presented. The role of stress response in adaptation is discussed.
