Abstract
Using nucleic acid hybridization and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) HPV-DNA sequence was detected in endometrial and ovarian carcinomas. This sequence was amplified with primer specific for E1 region of DNA-HPV 18 and hybridized with DNA-HPV 18. The presence of HPV-DNA in cancer studies suggests that human papillomavirus can also be involved in carcinogenesis of the upper genital tract of women.Entities:
