Abstract
The newer, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors are increasingly used in psychiatry in both children and adults. Although they have fewer side-effects, they can cause significant physiological changes and drug interactions which have implications for the anaesthetist and the critical care physician, especially the potential to induce the serotonin syndrome.Entities:
