Abstract
Hydrophobins are among the most important structural proteins produced by fungi. Their least-understood function is how they act to promote infection-related morphogenesis. Although the hydrophobin of at least one plant pathogen appears to be involved as a signal molecule in pathogenesis, a role for hydrophobins in animal pathogenesis has not been convincingly documented.Entities:
