Abstract
True tumours of the thyroid gland, both benign and malignant, are uncommon. Most present as solitary thyroid nodules and can be readily diagnosed by fine-needle aspiration and cytology. Surgical resection is the only appropriate treatment for the majority of thyroid tumours.Entities:
