Colonic atresia associated with Hirschsprung's disease.

Abstract

A rare case of an infant with both atresia of the colon and Hirschsprung's disease is described. The diagnosis of Hirschsprung's disease was fortuitously made on histological examination of the resected colon. The importance of being aware of the possibility that these two conditions may coexist is stressed.
