Abstract
Flexible iris hooks can be used to facilitate phacoemulsification in eyes with small pupils or damaged zonules. In addition to their conventional use as an iris retractor, the hooks can create a tenting effect that, when combined with pupil and continuous curvilinear capsulorhexis (CCC) enlargement, can prevent anterior capsule damage during phacoemulsification in eyes with small pupils. In addition, CCC enlargement stabilizes the lens in eyes with zonular damage.Entities:
