Abstract
The nematode PAR-1 gene is required for asymmetric cell divisions during development. Recently identified mammalian Par-1 homologues are kinases that phosphorylate microtubule-associated proteins; their overexpression disrupts the microtubule cytoskeleton, and alters cellular structure and organization.Entities:
