Thyroid hormone and reserpine abolished periods of periodic catatonia: a case report.

Abstract

We report the case of a patient whose periods of periodic catatonia were abolished by thyroid hormone and reserpine. A ratio of fractions in the urinary 17-ketosteroids was a good indicator for the treatments.
