Abstract
Polycystic disease of the adult is the most common presentation of renal cystic disease and is transmitted by dominant autosomic heredity. Development of renal cell carcinoma has been reported within this cystic disease, but the frequency of such coincidence is not higher than in the remaining population. Most of these tumours are found incidentally and may involve a diagnostic problem due to the marked distortion of the kidney's architecture produced by the polycystic disease of the adult.Entities:
