Abstract
Determining the status of peripheral innervation can be difficult in certain patients. The phenomenon of skin wrinkling has been shown to be a reliable indicator of gross nerve function. This study examines the effect of various water temperatures on the time to skin wrinkling. The optimal temperature for testing hands is 40 degrees C and skin wrinkling should occur in approximately 3.5 minutes.Entities:
