Abstract
A 67-year-old woman presented with pain and swelling over her ring metacarpal. There was no history of antecedent blunt or penetrating injury. X-rays showed a progressively destructive lesion of the metacarpal shaft and base. Subsequent biopsy revealed a giant cell reparative granuloma. Because of here age and the presence of osteoarthritis and digital stiffness, a ray amputation was carried out. Follow-up examination 3 years later revealed no evidence of recurrence.Entities:
