Abstract
Mammalian homologues of two important yeast genes involved in DNA double-strand break repair and recombination, RAD51 and RAD54, have been isolated. Knock-out mutations of the genes in mice reveal both reassuring similarities to, and surprising differences from, the analogous mutant phenotypes in yeast.Entities:
