Abstract
The angular radiance distribution of several linear diffusers used for photodynamic therapy (PDT) was measured. The forward scattering found previously was not observed for these designs. The improved isotropy leads to a better agreement between intended treatment site and actual maximum of the fluence rate profile when the linear diffuser is used in a hollow, cylindrical organ.Mesh:
