Abstract
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) earned its reputation as a pediatric pathogen, especially in children under two years of age. RSV infection in adults was considered a significant problem only for certain high-risk populations. Evidence now indicates that the infection occurs frequently in previously healthy adults.
