Abstract
In this study, we quantified transmission of PRV in 99 sow herds in which the sows were vaccinated three times a year with strain 783 O/W and found that the reproduction ratio R was 0.66, which is significantly below one. This implies that massive spread of PRV cannot occur in such herds.Entities:
