Abstract
A specific and sensitive radioimmunoassay was developed in our laboratory for measuring plasma and tissue somatostatin levels. The hormone content of arterial blood and skin samples of untreated and mustard oil (a specific agent causing neurogenic inflammation) treated animals was detected by this method. The somatostatin level of the inflamed tissue was significantly higher, but no difference was found between the plasma concentrations.Entities:
