Abstract
We report a postoperative foreign body granuloma occurring in the thyroid bed after anterior cervical fusion. The magnetic resonance (MR) imaging finding of increased signal on T2-weighted images is atypical for this type of granuloma and is thought to be due to the large proportion of cellularity in the mass histologically. In the differential diagnosis of solid postoperative masses it is important to consider foreign body granuloma, as it can mimic neoplastic disease both clinically and radiographically.Entities:
