Abstract
Advances in the use of molecular techniques-particularly for virus identification, the investigation of latency and the infection process, plus the development of a theoretical framework containing a higher degree of biological realism-have pushed baculovirus ecology forward in the past few years. This has created a scenario in which many hitherto intractable questions about the behaviour of natural and genetically modified baculoviruses can now be addressed.Mesh:
