Abstract
A study was carried out to search for the presence of the seven human herpesvirus DNAs in cerebrospinal fluid from 52 human immunodeficiency virus-infected patients with brain disorders. Cytomegalovirus DNA was the most prevalent with 12 positive samples; Epstein-Barr virus and varicellazoster DNAs were detected in three and two samples, respectively, while no sample was positive for the DNA of the other herpesviruses.Entities:
