Life-threatening tension pneumothorax during laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Abstract

We report an instance of life-threatening tension pneumothorax during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Such complications are rare but can be catastrophic without rapid intervention and management. The introduction of new technology should serve to obviate such problems in the future.
