Abstract
Mercury vapour inhalation is a rare cause of acute toxic injury to the lungs and is often fatal in infants. A 5 month-old girl with mercury vapour poisoning who developed chemical pneumonitis with bilateral pneumothoraces is reported. She was managed successfully in an intensive care unit with respiratory support, without chelation therapy.Entities:
