Abstract
In 21 patients with macular hole and retinal detachment a macular buckling procedure was performed including diathermic or cryogenic coagulation. An absorbable fibrin sponge (Fibrospum) was used as a new buckling material, which needs not to be sutured to the sclera at the posterior pole. In comparison to other procedures the use of fibrin sponge seems to be more simple and at least of the same results.Entities:
