Abstract
This article explores the position of nursing in relation to the evidence-based medicine (EBM) and clinical effectiveness (CE) initiatives. It argues that both activities are based on at least three implicit assumptions. By exploring these assumptions nurses can become more involved in evidence-based practice and clinical effectiveness activities.Mesh:
