Abstract
A case of temporal desmoplatic ganglioglioma surgically removed in a 17-year-old patient is reported. Immunohistochemistry showed glial and neuronal differentiation of tumour cells. The frequent occurrence of a desmoplastic component in gangliogliomas is stressed. The present case and other reports from the literature confirm that such desmoplastic neoplasms can not be regarded as exclusively infantile tumours, as recently proposed by the WHO-classification of Brain Tumours.Entities:
