Abstract
The genes of the renin-angiotensin system and their relation to renal diseases are of great interest. The number of studies examining the role of polymorphism in these genes in development or progression of renal diseases has increased nearly logarithmically, but results remain conflicting. Evidence is increasing that progression of renal disease is more rapid in DD-homozygotes of the angiotensin-converting enzyme gene polymorphism, but other relationships have not been solidly established.Entities:
