Effect of salbumatol on acute gastric ulceration induced by indomethacin in the rat.

L P Fielding, M Raute, B P Curwain.

Abstract

Indomethacin produces gastric ulceration in the rat when given by subcutaneous injection. Salbutamol, a beta2-adrenergic agonist, provided full protection from the development of these lesions. This observation may have a bearing on the genesis and therapy of some forms of peptic ulceration.
