Abstract
Endoscopic carpal tunnel release has become an increasingly popular method of surgical treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. Consequently, the contraindications to this technically challenging procedure continue to evolve. We describe two patients with carpal tunnel syndrome and unusual anomalies and pathology of the hook of the hamate that we believe represent relative or absolute contraindications to endoscopic carpal tunnel release.Entities:
